VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
Community Outreach & Development
Ideal candidates possess the zeal of a community activist, a demonstrated capacity in community development and fund-raising with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Volunteer should also view technology as essential to the execution of their tasks since they will, in a real sense, be serving as role models for media center participants.
Educational Activity
Ideal candidates possess the capacity to enhance existing programs and develop new projects for participants. Technology experience and or social services experience is a plus. Imagination and creativity are essential ingredients.
Administrative Support / Facilities & Equipment Management
In most cases the Administrative Support will be the first encounter most people will have with the center. Qualifications for this position are quite obvious: friendliness, patience, and a sense of order and decorum. Facilities and equipment management handle facility maintenance and improve the physical appearance and accessibility of the center for people with disabilities and functional limitations.
